What made you decide to join Skeppsholmsgruppen and how has your journey here been so far?
I was looking for new challenges and wanted to switch industries to the hospitality sector which is so exciting and dynamic. Most important for me was to work hands-on and avoid too much administrative roles. My journey here has been incredibly exciting and has met my expectations and then some. I joined in May 2022 as the second employee of the company and since then it has been full speed ahead and steady growth.
Describe your role and what a working day looks like for you at Skeppsholmsgruppen.
As a Project Manager, I’m in the thick of things – from the pre-sales and planning stages, then on the ground, coordinating and listening to the client’s wishes and I love every second of it! I make sure to do my utmost to meet their wishes and requirements and my attitude is that (almost) nothing is impossible – I do my utmost to solve what the customer wants in all situations. My background from the restaurant and event industry, where I have experience as an operations manager and also experience from wedding planning, has taught me that details are extremely important. I also focus on helping our customers with decor and flowers which I find very enjoyable.
Can you share some memorable moments or events from your time at Skeppsholmsgruppen?
All big events are memorable. Planning, coordinating and making everything run smoothly is a real thrill. The highlights are when you manage to exceed client expectations and create truly memorable moments. I thrive when I get to be at the center of the action – that’s where the excitement and magic is! For me, it’s not just work; it’s a privilege to create experiences that touch and leave a lasting impression. Being where the action is gives me a sense of being part of something bigger and makes every working day unique and inspiring.
What qualities and skills do you consider most valuable to succeed in your role at Skeppsholmsgruppen?
Above all, it is the ability to control all the details that is crucial. It’s the details that make the whole, so everything has to fit. My experience from previous jobs helps me to stay focused on the details.
What does a typical working day look like for you? Are there any specific projects or responsibilities that you would like to highlight?
A typical working day varies depending on the event, the season and the client’s needs. Every day is unique, and that’s what makes my job so exciting. Being flexible and adapting to different situations is something I am well trained for and enjoy very much.
Skeppsholmsgruppen emphasizes the importance of creating memorable experiences for customers. Can you share a story where you and your team managed to exceed customer expectations?
We have organized large budget private events that are truly personal and of course spectacular. Seeing the client’s delight when we exceed their expectations is truly an amazing feeling. Unbeatable!
How do you see the future of the Skeppsholm Group?
I see a bright and exciting future for Skeppsholmsgruppen. We have a good influx of new customers, which of course feels very good.
What trends and changes in the hospitality industry do you think will most affect your work in the future?
I believe that personalized decor will become more and more important, with a focus on sustainability, environmentalism and recycling shaping the industry. We are actively working with these trends to offer our clients unique and responsible events with a sustainability mindset. I feel that more and more clients want this.
